Anagallis arvensis
Wildflowers | Dicots | Eudicots | Asterids | Ericales | Primulaceae | Anagallis |
Seen blooming on Tunnel, Wiman, Rattlesnake Trails (right after the road turns to dirt) in April. Small plant, about 3-10 inches high.
The stem is square, leaves are either opposite or in whorls of three. Flower stems start at intersection of leaf and stem. Doesn’t bloom in early morning or late afternoon. When not blooming, looks like a bedstraw.
