00 All Year
Blooming times are based on my personal observations in 2010 and 2015. The starting month represents the earliest I have ever seen the plant in bloom, and the ending month represents the latest. This does not mean that any plants will be blooming for the whole time.
My sampling of trails is not perfect. I try to check every front country trail once a month. But I might miss a bloom if it is uncommon. Also it might start blooming immediately after my one run of the month and so my date (for a plant that only grows locally in one place) might be off by as much as a month.
Some flowers bloom all year round. Generally they peak in the spring (March-April) and then just have the occasional bloom by the end of summer.
Flowers in different places start blooming at different times. For instance in 2011, Chia, Salvia columbaria started blooming in early February in a warm, sheltered, sunny spot on the west fork of Cold Spring trail. It was more than a month later that I saw them elsewhere, on Buena Vista. At the end of March they were blooming in Blue Canyon. They didn’t start at Camino Ciello until April. Blue Canyon trail (which is a north facing slope is usually several weeks behind the front country (at least in the spring).
Officially the rain year starts in October as this is usually when the first rains of the season come; shortly after the rains we start getting new blooms.
November and December have the fewest blooms. But November marks the change from one year to the next as the rains cause a few new flowers to come out.

Blooming data are based on my personal observations between 2010 and 2015. They are not perfect.
The red bits of the little tables under the flowers indicate when I observed those flowers blooming. The fainter red bits indicate months in which the flower bloomed but for which I neglected to record an exact start (or stop) date. Since these are the observations of one man randomly walking the local trails I may have missed the true start/stop by several weeks.
Noticed 49 flowers that have bloomed all year.
