Calystegia soldanella

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Asterids Solanales Convolvulaceae Calystegia

Beach morning glory. I’ve only seen it on the reconstructed dunes in the plover reserve off coal oil point (but it is supposed to have a global distribution).

Seen blooming in May.

May be distinguished from other Calystegia species by the thick, heart-shaped leaves.

Bracts clasp the flower
