Adenostoma fasciculatum

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Rosids Rosales Rosaceae Adenostoma

Chamise.

The plant is extremely common and is a major component of our chaparral. A moderate sized shrub with needle-like leaves.

I first saw it flowering in mid-April, but it doesn’t reach it’s peak of blooming until late May. Still blooming in July.
