This looks very like the Chaparral Currant except that its flowers are white, while those of the Chaparral Currant have a pinkish tinge (sometimes very pink, other times less so). This is also fairly rare. I believe I have found only one plant about half a mile from the Gibraltar Mercury Mine in the direction of the Grotto.

I first saw it in full bloom in late December and it was still blooming in late January, at which point a few unripe currants had formed.
