Phacelia distans

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Asterids Boraginales Boraginaceae Hydrophyllaceae Phacelia

Common phacelia. Found on most trails.

First observed blooming in February. A few blooms left in early July, over by the end of July.

By the end of June the flowerspike has become extremely long, and the old flowers look somewhat feathery. By the end of July the last blooms are gone, and the old flowers turn to fluff and start to blow away (I presume these are seeds).
