Great berry manzanita

Flowers from December to March (seen it blooming on 23 June 2011 out of season) and produces a cherry sized fruit (which is the manzanita).

Common on the upper reaches of most trails.

This is the larger of the local manzanitas. It has hairless stems with grey-green leaves which are not shiny. No basal burl.
