Cardamine oligosperma

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Rosids Brassicales Brassicaceae Cardamine

Bittercress. Idaho bittercress.

Found in damp places — near stream beds or moist north facing slopes. Seen on Jesusita and west fork of Cold Spring. Seen blooming in January (starting about the same time as milk-maids), but flowers are much smaller than milk-maids.

Many small almost round leaves at the base (often forming a dense mat) with a few standing spikes with a compound leaf and an inflorescence. Silques and flowers both visible on all plants I’ve noticed.
