Rubus ursinus

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Rosids Rosales Rosaceae Rubus

California wild blackberry.

Common on roadsides, a few at the start of cold spring trail; there’s a patch on Jesusita trail.

Blooms in Dec-June. Rarely fruits, though I have seen a few on Blue Canyon trail in June.

Like poison oak this plant also has “leaves of three”, but these are much rougher, with hairs and thorns on the underside.
