Collinsia bartsiifolia

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Asterids Lamiales Plantaginaceae Collinsia

White blue-eyed Mary.

Formerly this genus was placed in the Scrophulariaceae (figwort) family.

It looks like a pea, but is, in fact, a snap dragon. The multi-colored version, Chinese houses, is much more common.

I’ve only seen one plant, on the back side of Arroyo Burro trail. It was blooming in June, but I suspect it started blooming in April when Chinese Houses did.

Note the recurled leaves.
