Lupinus latifolius

Wildflowers Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Fabales Fabaceae Lupinus

Canyon Lupine.

Seen blooming on Rattlesnake, San Ysidro, and Romero trails as well as on the backside of Gibraltar road. It seems to like damp places.

For a long time I confused it with the Arroyo Lupine, but this one is slightly larger (leaf, plant and flower) and has a dark stem.
