I have not actually seen this yet, but it is supposed to be in our area. Has decumbant stems.
I have searched Santa Barbara County high and low without success in locating Asclepias californica. All the locations listed in the CalFlora database for this species turned out to be Asclepias eriocarpa.
Well, that certainly explains why I haven’t found it. Thanks for the confirmation.
