Verbascum virgatum

Wildflowers Dicots Eudicots Asterids Lamiales Scrophulariaceae Verbascum

Wand Mullein, Twiggy Mullein

A European invader.

First noticed it blooming in mid-May on Gibraltar Rd. (above the hairpin turn) and in the meadow on Rattlesnake trail. I saw a few lonesome blooms in mid February (on the road. It finished blooming in the meadow in August).
