Eriogonum fasciculatum

Wildflowers Dicots Caryophyllales Polygonaceae Eriogonum

Buckwheat

There are many, many species of Eriogonums (buckwheats) in our mountains, and, at the moment, they all look the same to me. This entry is actually a compendium of all of them (since I can’t distinguish). This particular species is part of our flora.

Blooms in May through September. Fairly common near the top of most trails.
