Tribulus terrestris flowerPuncture Vine or Caltrop

An introduced species originally from Eurasia and Africa (controlled by introduced weevils). It seems to be an annual here though it is said to be a perennial in its native habitat. Common along roadsides in the city, I have not seen it on the trails. Pops bike tires.

Blooms July-October.
