Camissoniopsis cheiranthifolia

Wildflowers Dicots Myrtales Onagraceae Camissoniopsis

Beach evening primrose. Formerly in the genus Camissonia.

Found on the dunes. The best place to see it is in the bit of reclaimed duneland around the UCSB lagoon or the one around the Plover Sanctuary. I have also seen it near Leadbetter and Sterne’s Wharf (but these locations are not consistent).

Can bloom all year long.
